About Rebecca

I see a future where we work in balance with each other and with our planet.  I know a future exists where we realize that together we can resolve and prevent conflicts.  A future where everyone recognizes that we have limited resources and have learned to thrive through economic stability.  A future where people are tired of the up and downs of unsustainable economic growth.

The Green Party understands the future and what we risk by not finding a balance.  The Green Party is the only federal party capable of planning for the long term.  The other parties are too concerned with their short term popularity to do what is best for you.  As the New Westminster-Coquitlam Candidate, my focus is on designing our cities and our homes around families.  A parent should not have to commute more than 20 minutes to support his/her family.  We need to support local businesses and create job opportunities closer to home.  We need cities where the majority of residents are in walking distance to a grocery store!  By building more livable cities we strength our communities and can better support children and families.   Creating a safe, happier and more rewarding future for all of us.
